80 Street Vendors will Be Relocated to Pluit Village Mall

A total of 80 street vendors (PKL) will be relocated to Pluit Village Mall's parking lot, Penjaringan, North Jakarta. This relocation is following up action of street vendors control on Jalan Pluit Permai and Taman Pluit Permai on the last Monday (3/2).
Before they move to temporary location, all street vendors are still allowed to sell at the old place only using cart without set up buildings
Penjaringan Sub-district Head, Yani Wahyu Purwoko said, his side has coordinate with Pluit Village Mall's management to build a permanent trading place (pujasera) in the west side of the parking lot. But, before the construction is complete, all street vendors will sell their goods in temporary tent near the relocation place.
"The temporary location is also near the relocation place. Now we are still preparing the tent and try to finish it soon," she said, Tuesday (3/3).
Street Vendor Control on Jalan Pluit Permai Went ChaoticPurwoko disclosed, his side also has coordinate with North Jakarta Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives (KUMKMP) Sub-department to prepare cart to be given to all street vendors for free.
"Before they move to temporary location, all street vendors are still allowed to sell at the old place only using cart without set up buildings," she said firmly.
Meanwhile, North Jakarta Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Cooperatives Head, Rosita Tambunan admitted, his side has completed 50 of 80 unit carts to be given to the street vendors.
"From 50 units, we have sent 30 of them to sub-district. While the rest will be sent immediately," he said.
